BURLINGTON–The town of Burlington, Maine put on their annual Independence Day celebration yesterday. The weather cooperated with organizers, giving the parade and outdoor games great attendance. Estimates of the size of the crowd varied, but one barometer – the number of pancake breakfasts served – came in at its highest level ever. Whatever the final tally, one thing is sure: the parade, games, exhibitions, and fun add up to a great community event.
