Millinocket – Agnes J. Perry, 85, passed away Wednesday July 11, 2012.
Pat was born June 30, 1927 the daughter of George and Agnes (Day) Boss. She attended school in East Millinocket. She married the love of her life, Wilbur “Web” Perry, May 6, 1946 and spent 51 years together until he died in 1997.
Pat was very family oriented. She loved her kids, her grand-kids, great grand-kids, and whatever kids came by. She loved them all. She was a homemaker first and foremost, in addition she worked in the custodial department for the Millinocket School Department for 29 years where she was affectionately known as Nana Perry. She loved going to camp and loved going bird hunting with George and his dog Maggie. She was an awesome Mom. Pat was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary as well as past president of VFW Auxiliary. Pat spent the last year with her daughter Lynn who provided loving care for her.
Pat is survived by daughter Lynn Walsh and husband Buzzy, son Jimmy Perry and wife Sheila, Peter Perry and wife Diane, and George Perry and wife Pam; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Pat was predeceased by a brother Charlie Boss, and a sister Bubbles Mackin, and great grandson Cody Strout.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 14 at 1:00pm with Pastor Terry Given officiating. Gifts in Pat’s memory may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field Street, Millinocket, ME 04462.
